If not, check the links on the left hand side or the bottom of the page for other extended warranty information. "Extended warranties and auto insurance can all be purchased online. Spend some time examining exactly what coverage is available. There is a wide range among different plans. Finally, watch the amount of the deductible." - quote from Better Business Bureau web site. AA Auto Warranty is a auto service contract insurance broker that has been selling and servicing auto warranties through auto dealers for decades. AA Auto Warranty offers comparative shopping, capable of giving online quotes from multiple warranty provides at the same time. The staff at AA Auto Warranty bring years of experience in the business as a traditional "brick and mortar" company, but is a relatively new player online. Overall, this is one well worth checking out. Also, they are a member of the Better Business Bureau. back to topThe Auto Club
The Auto Club is one of the few direct to consumer marketers of extended warranties that are 100% insured by a licensed and admitted, A+ rated, insurance company (National Casualty Company). Their biggest strengths are that their insurance company is directly responsible to the consumer and the claims administration is handled by an unrelated third party. They also participate in the BBB Online Reliability Program. back to topOther CompaniesIf you haven't found what your looking for on my site, there are some other really good sources on the web. In the Google Directory there is an extensive list of web sites for extended warranties. There are other versions of this directory at AOL and Netscape as they are all powered by The Open Directory Project. Be careful though, the editor only makes sure these sites are functional and offer online quotes, so do your homework. I strongly recommend checking out a company with the BBBOnLine Reliability program and Better Business Bureau state offices before making a purchase. This is all about making an informed decision. back to topWhy buy online? It is easy for me to forget that most people aren't as comfortable with online shopping as I am, especially for large purchases. There's a big difference between sending $20.00 to a well known company like Amazon.com for a book and sending a $1000.00 to an online warranty company you may or may not have ever heard of. Become an informed consumer and research the company. Have you ever caught yourself saying, "but my salesman said ." What I like best about shopping online is that everything is in writing and can be printed and saved ( on your web browser's menu bar, click "File" then "Print"). When I make major purchases online, in addition to printing and saving contracts, I print and save all the information about the product I'm purchasing. If I have problems in the future, I have a written record of the original advertisement. back to topHow can I check out a company? You should always check out a company before making a major purchase online. By doing a little homework, you can distinguish the industry leaders who have been around for years, from the fly by night schemes that will rip you off. You need to answer the several questions. Does the company value it's good name? Does the company participate in any of the Better Business Bureau's programs? How long has this company been doing business under this name? Companies with poor records often simply change their name in order to make it difficult for consumers to find out about existing complaints. Take a look at this Better Business Bureau Report, and you'll see what I mean. If you discover a company you're interested in is doing business under many different names, be suspicious because obviously the company cares very little for their own brand name. While there are many good sources of information on the web, I recommend researching companies with various programs from the Better Business Bureau. At the bureau's main site, www.bbb.org you can perform a quick search of state records for information on a particular company. Some states will even list all resolved and unresolved complaints against a company. A good sign indication for reliable web sites is participation in the Better Business Bureau's Online Reliability Program. Companies which meet the program's requirements and agree to dispute resolution through a Better Business Bureau approved mediator. Companies which participate in this program tend to be much more reliable than those which do not. back to top |
